Yes! they even mix adobo into it for the chicharron quesadilla its amazing!!!!
The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 10pm. Typical dinner rush is around 6:30pm - 8:30pm, but it does vary greatly from night to night!
no reservations.
No
Nopalito does not take reservations however you can call an hour or so before you show up to be put on the waitlist.
There isn't too much space and is generally very crowded. It may be difficult to take your dog in.
I went there w/my BF last night for early dinner. The place was very crowded but we found 2 seats at the bar.Very nice foods and friendly service - however wish there is more space ( very tight each other and even hard to move !) Over all a nice restaurant.
Fantastic flavors and parking available. Great spot for brunch or lunch. Friendly service and the lines weren't too long for a Sunday.
Like many others have mentioned, the aesthetic is very cohesive and welcoming. I had a great spot right next to the kitchen and the staff was friendly and efficient. Their special of the day really hit the spot, tostada with red snapper. Utterly delectable without any guilt. The ingredients tasted nice and fresh, especially since I was craving guacamole for a while! Very fair amount of fish for the price! Had the tepache, a fermented pineapple rind drink that was quite enjoyable. All around good experience!
Highly recommended Mexican food. The taste is unique and very delicious. The atmosphere is calm, cozy and staffs are caring and do quick services.
Mmmm Tacos! Good friendly service and really tasty food. The portions were a good size, and the wait was not too long.
The food was delicious, and prep was quick. We got a to go order, and though we missed being able to sit inside, the food more than made up for it! The arroz dessert and rice and beans are so delicious- will definitely be returning for more!
This is a gorgeous restaurant and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with a fabulous meal. The tasting menu is incredible! Something g for everyone even if by everything is for you I and my wife an2 grown sons and we could not even finish everything .
Fantastic new conception of mexican food.Everything we had was innovative without being too far from the traditional version.Prices are alligned to SF average and the quality of the food.
Really great dishes and very shareable. The huarache and fish al pastor were highlights. Wish the wait wasn’t as long.
Quality is mediocre at best. Many small shops in San Francisco have much better Mexican food. Queuing system is a mess, no reception at the door for the entire 1 hour I was waiting. No one (customers) know what's going on. After seated, overall service was also mediocre. The most unacceptable was to have a big piece of bone in my enchiladas. Mole was a bit burnt. My first time here and will not be back.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in San Francisco. They start you off with spiced chickpeas to snack on while you look over their menu, which has both tapas style and full plate options. Their Totopos con Chile is a must on every visit though. If the occasion allows, I really enjoy their margaritas and sangria. The service is wonderful and they work quickly, turning the tables over to service the next guests. Definitely stop by and make sure to call ahead if you have a larger group.
A meal at Nopalito is never complete without an order of Totopos! Everything else on the menu is delicious too. I only wish they had a bigger space so the wait for a seat would not be so long.
Everything was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal as well as my surroundings. I was so happy when I tasted actually spicy flavors. Definitely a place for special occasion to celebrate!
Solid upscale Mexican restaurant. Good drinks and tasty, well presented food. The tacos are decent, but I would recommend getting some of the other dishes, they are delicious 😀
Very friendly staff and the food was pretty good. Wasn't a big fan of the tacos pescado al pastor but the other things I tried were delicious.
Absolutely delicious fish tacos well paired with a fresh white. House hot sauce was ace. Service was class A. Friendly but cool. Will come back as soon as I can. 👌
Delicious modern cantina, home made tortillas will not disappoint. Great selection of small brands Tequila and Mescal. Service is friendly and I would recommend seating at the bar. Free parking in front.
Nopalito beautifully catered our wedding for 150 people in the Santa Cruz area. They really know what they’re doing. Every bite was delicious and served professionally. It is nice that the people who staff their catered events are the same folks who work at their restaurants. It means they know the food and have the same standard for professionalism. Guests raved about their meals. Their staff invited tables of guests up to walk through the buffet. It took exactly how much time they told us it would. In the lead up, Blanca and Alexis were incredibly communicative—responding to emails at all hours and answering any questions we had. They helped us choose items for the food and drink menu that would be hits with our guests (some of whom were kids) as well as items that satisfied our more foodie preferences. Given the quality of service and food, we felt the quote was very reasonable. This was money very well spent.
My all time favorite Mexican place to eat when in town. Fresh ingredients, and everything I've tried so far has been bliss for my taste buds!! Their cocktails are delicious too, also a perk, they usually have parking, which can be a challenge in SF!
Always heard good things about Nopalito and finally tried it. Definitely one of the top Mexican restaurant in the city!
Fantastic flavors and parking available. Great spot for brunch or lunch. Friendly service and the lines weren't too long for a Sunday.
A lovely place to have brunch, lunch or breakfast. I don’t know about dinner so CA not comment on it. The food is exquisite with a lot of vegetarian choice. The service is exemplary. The staff goes out of the way to make your experience great. A must for Mexican food. The portions are also perfect for a good meal.
Overall solid food and good drinks. The meals taste very fresh — you can really tell that they make everything in house. We got the Totopos con Chile for the table— which is kind of like nachos covered in salsa and topped with some cheese, cream, and cilantro. I’d definitely get those again. As a main dish I got the asparagus quesadilla. I found it to be simple but tasty, I only wish I would have ordered a side of salsa to add a little more flavor to it.

Been one of our favorite take and bake meals during pandemic. Always dependable when you eat in, but now more than ever it's so nice to have this spot on the neighborhood! Just make sure you don't miss the carnitas. Cocktails are great too.
Absolutely amazing. My 1st time. My boyfriend took me and I loved the atmosphere, foods amazing and the employees were super kind and friendly and very tentative. We decided that each time we come into the city we will be eating here..Thank you.
Really good Mexican food ! The wait is long tho ! And the place is tiny. The tacos look expensive, like $13 for one, but look at the photos, it is a MASSIVE taco !
This was great Mexican food! We were in for an hour's wait for a table so we sat at the bar instead and ate there which was fine (if not a little squeezed in) and the full menu was available.Food was hot and tasty. We recommend the chips and pork belly but everything that came out looked amazing!
Had some of the best ceviche there! We had a large group and they were able to seat us quickly and the customer service was great. Will definitely go back when we are in the city again.
Excellent fresh authentic Mexican food!Service was fine.Tables really close to each other, if you mind that you can sit outside where there's more space.
I had a fantastic experience at Calavera! Having walked past this place several times, I've been both curious but hesitant because of some of these mixed reviews that sank their ratings- I have no idea what any of those reviews are referring to
